Renewing Your Bot

Every MoonBots bot needs to be renewed periodically to stay active. When a bot's time is running low, you can top it up in two easy ways: paying in-world at a MoonBots terminal, or paying through your account on the MoonBots website using your wallet balance.

This guide walks you through both options. If you have not yet added funds to your MoonBots wallet, check out our separate guide on funding your wallet before you get started with the wallet method.

Option 1: Renew Using Your Wallet Balance (Website)

This is the fastest way to renew if you already have funds sitting in your MoonBots wallet.

1. Log in to your MoonBots account at moonbots.co.
2. From your dashboard, find the bot you want to renew.
3. Under the countdown showing how many days remain, click Renew & Pay.

1. A window will pop up showing the current expiration time and a set of renewal lengths, such as 1 Week, 2 Weeks, 3 Weeks, 4 Weeks, 3 Months, and 6 Months.
2. Click the button for the length of time you want to add. The total cost will update automatically.
3. If you have a coupon code, enter it in the Coupon Code field and click Apply.
4. Select Fund Using Wallet. Your current wallet balance is shown next to this option so you can confirm you have enough funds.

1. Confirm the payment. The cost will be deducted from your wallet balance and your bot's expiration date will update right away.

Tip: You can also enable Auto Renew from your bot's dashboard so it renews automatically using your wallet balance before it expires.

Option 2: Renew Using an In-World Terminal

If you would rather pay in-world with Linden dollars, you can use a MoonBots terminal at either of our two locations.

Step 1: Open the terminal menu

1. Touch the MoonBots Desk Terminal at either location.
2. A menu will open with several options, including My Wallet, My Bots, Manager Bots, and Account.
3. Click My Bots.

Step 2: Find your bot

1. The terminal will show a list of bot accounts linked to you. If your bot is not on the first page, use the << and >> buttons to move between pages.
2. Click the name of the bot you want to renew.

Step 3: Pay for your bot

1. The terminal will show your bot's name and how much time is left before it expires.
2. Click Pay Bot.

1. The terminal will display the available renewal lengths and prices for your bot's type. Pricing varies depending on whether your bot is standard or premium.
2. Click Okay to close the instructions.

1. Click the terminal again. This time, it will prompt you to pay
2. Enter the exact amount shown for the renewal length you want and confirm the payment.
3. Once the payment goes through, your bot's expiration time will update automatically.

Tip: Make sure to pay the exact amount listed for the renewal length you want. Paying a different amount may not be recognized by the terminal.
