Login Object Sit: Having Your Bot Sit Automatically

Login Object Sit lets your bot baby automatically sit on an object, like a crib, swing, or toy, the moment it logs into Second Life. Instead of your bot just standing around after logging in, it will sit right down on whatever you choose, every single time.

Why You Might Want This

Most MoonBots users set this to a crib or a favorite toy, so their bot baby starts off looking cute and in character right away. It saves you from having to manually sit your bot down every time it logs in or restarts.

Step 1: Find the UUID of Your Object

A UUID is a unique ID code that Second Life uses to identify a specific object, like a crib or toy, in the world. You will need this code before you can set up Login Object Sit.

  1. Rez the object you want your bot to sit on (such as a crib or toy) somewhere in your region.
  2. Right-click the object and choose Edit to open the Build floater.
  3. On the General tab of the Build floater, look for the small copy icon next to the object's name field. Clicking it copies the object's UUID to your clipboard.
  4. Keep that UUID copied and ready, since you will paste it into your MoonBots panel next.

Tip: If you do not see a copy icon, make sure your Advanced menu is enabled in Firestorm. You can turn it on under the top menu, then Advanced.

Step 2: Add the UUID to Your MoonBots Panel

Once you have your object's UUID copied, head over to your bot's MoonBots control panel.

  1. Log into your MoonBots account panel for the bot you want to set this up for.
  2. Under the Management section, click Login Object Sit.
  3. A window will pop up titled Login Sit Location, Object Sit.
  4. Paste the UUID into the text box.
  5. Click Sit Here to save it.

Step 3: Test It

Restart your bot or have it log in again to see the change take effect. Your bot should now sit on the object automatically as soon as it logs in.

Clearing the Sit Location

If you ever want your bot to stop automatically sitting on login, you can remove this setting at any time.

  1. Open the Login Object Sit window from your Management section again.
  2. Click Clear Sit.

Your bot will go back to simply standing after it logs in.

Troubleshooting

  1. Bot is not sitting after login: double-check that the UUID was copied correctly and that the object is still rezzed in the region.
  2. Object was deleted or moved to inventory: you will need to rez it again and grab a new UUID, since the old one will no longer point to anything in the world.
  3. Bot sits on the wrong object: this usually means the UUID belongs to a different object. Repeat Step 1 to grab the correct one.

Tip: UUIDs change if an object is taken back into inventory and rezzed again, so try to leave your crib or toy rezzed in place once you have set this up. If you ever do need to move or re-rez it, just repeat Step 1 to grab the new UUID.
