Buying Star Credits for Auto Chat

Auto Chat is a fun feature that brings your baby's personality to life, letting them talk, remember, emote, and interact with the people and objects around them. To keep Auto Chat running, your baby needs Star Credits! This guide walks you through everything you need to know about buying Star Credits.

Before You Start

Your baby must have Auto Chat enabled before you can add Star Credits to them. If you do not see your baby listed when trying to purchase credits, check that Auto Play is turned on first.

Who Can Buy Star Credits?

Anyone can purchase Star Credits for a baby, as long as they have been added to that baby's Upsies. This means friends, family, and caretakers can all pitch in to keep a baby's Auto Chat topped up, not just the baby's owner.

Where to Buy Star Credits

There are two ways to buy Star Credits: using the in-world Upsies! Auto Chat Stars Terminal, or through the MoonBots website using your MoonBots wallet balance.

Method 1: The Upsies! Auto Chat Stars Terminal

The Upsies! Auto Chat Stars Terminal is a vendor you can find in-world. You can use it to buy Star Credits with Linden Dollars (L$). This terminal is available in two locations:

1. At the Starries store
2. At the MoonBots office

Once you are at the terminal, follow these steps:

1. Click the terminal to open the Auto Chat Stars Terminal menu.
2. Click Select Baby.
3. Choose the baby you want to add Star Credits to from the list. If your baby does not appear, use the link in the menu to check that Auto Chat is enabled.
4. Once you have selected your baby, click Buy Stars.
5. Choose how many Star Credits you would like to purchase from the options shown.
6. Click Okay.
7. A Pay Resident window will pop up asking you to pay Killi Cloud. Select the L$ amount that matches the package you chose, then confirm the payment. You must pay within 60 seconds, or the request will expire.
8. Once payment is received, the Star Credits will be added to your baby automatically.

Method 2: The MoonBots Website

You can also buy Star Credits from the comfort of the MoonBots website using your MoonBots wallet balance. This is a great option if you would rather not visit a store in-world, or if you already keep L$ in your MoonBots wallet.

1. Log in to the MoonBots website.
2. Select the baby you want to add Star Credits to.
3. Choose the amount of Star Credits you would like to purchase.
4. Confirm the purchase. The cost will be deducted from your MoonBots wallet balance.
5. Your Star Credits will be added to your baby right away.

Quick Tips

1. Auto Chat must be enabled on your baby before Star Credits can be added.
2. Anyone added to a baby's Upsies can purchase Star Credits for that baby, not just the owner.
3. The in-world terminal is available at both the Starries store and the MoonBots office, and both use L$ payments.
4. The website method uses your MoonBots wallet balance instead of a direct L$ payment.
5. If a payment request on the terminal expires, simply start the purchase again.
