Bot Routines

Bot Routines let your bot automate its day. Set up routines so your bot logs in and gets dressed in the morning, plays throughout the day, and goes to bed at night, all on its own. Routines can run on a schedule, respond to things people say, or both.

Opening Bot Routines

1. Log in to your MoonBots account and select your bot.
2. Under Management, click Bot Routines.

This opens the Bot Routines window, with four tabs: My Routines, Routine Library, Routine Calendar, and Activity Log.

My Routines

My Routines lists every routine set up for this bot. Each routine shows its name, a plain-language summary of what it does, how many times it has run, and when it will next run.

1. Use the toggle on a routine to turn it on or off without deleting it.
2. Edit opens the routine to change its settings.
3. Run once now runs the routine immediately, outside its schedule.
4. Duplicate creates a copy to use as a starting point for a similar routine.
5. Share lets you send the routine to another MoonBots user.
6. The trash icon deletes the routine.

Use the Enable routines / Disable routines menu at the top to turn all routines on or off for this bot at once.

Creating a New Routine

1. From the My Routines tab, click New routine.
2. Enter a Routine name.
3. Under WHEN, choose what starts the routine.
4. It's a certain time: choose the days of the week (or use Every day, Weekdays, Weekends) and set a time.
5. The Give or take slider adds a small random delay so the routine does not fire at the exact same second every time.
6. Someone says something: the routine starts when a person (for example, any manager) says a word or phrase in chat.
7. Optionally, click + Only if... to add a condition that must also be true for the routine to run, such as checking who is nearby.
8. Under THEN, click + Add a step to build what the bot does. Steps run in order and can include:
9. Say in local chat: enter one or more messages, one per line; the bot picks one at random.
10. Wear a folder: choose whether it replaces the whole outfit or adds everything in the folder on top.
11. Wait: pause for a set or randomized number of seconds before the next step.
12. Teleport to a place.
13. Walk to a location.
14. Sit on an object.
15. Use Test now to run the routine immediately and check it works as expected.
16. Click Save routine when finished.

Tip: Keep the Give or take slider on for anything that runs daily, like wake-up or bedtime routines, so your bot doesn't feel like it's on a timer.

Routine Library

The Routine Library has ready-made routines you can add to your bot without building them from scratch. Search by name, filter by category, and sort by Most popular or other options.

1. Each entry shows who created it (MoonBots or another user) and how many bots have added it.
2. Click Add to my bot to bring a routine into your My Routines list, where you can edit it like any other.
3. Some routines are marked NEEDS PREMIUM and require a Premium bot to use.
4. Community-submitted routines can be reported using the Report link if something looks off.

Routine Calendar

The Routine Calendar shows a month view of every time-based routine, laid out on the day and time it will run. Use the arrows to move between months.

1. Click an existing routine on the calendar to open and edit it.
2. Click the + on any day to add a new timed routine starting from that day.
3. Click + New timed routine to create one from scratch.

All times shown are SLT.

Activity Log

The Activity Log shows a history of every routine run for this bot: which routine ran, what happened, and when.

1. A green entry means the routine ran all of its steps successfully.
2. A yellow entry means the routine was skipped, for example because the person who set it off was not on the routine's people list.
3. A red entry means the routine ran with problems, and shows how many of its steps completed.

Tip: Routines that use the AI (like AI-personality greetings) use Star Credits each time they run. Routines that just say a set message, change outfits, move, or wait do not use Star Credits.
