Automatically reply to instant messages sent to your bot

IM Response is available exclusively to Premium Bot subscribers. If you do not see this option, check that your bot's Premium subscription is active.
IM Response lets your bot automatically reply when someone sends it an instant message. This is useful for letting people know your bot is currently logged in for hosting purposes and won't be checking messages right away, or for pointing them toward support resources.
Follow these steps to turn on and customize your bot's automatic IM reply.



You can personalize your automatic reply using the following variables. When your message is sent, these will automatically be replaced with the sender's information.
Tip
A friendly, personalized greeting goes a long way. Try starting your message with something like: Hello %FIRST_NAME% (%SL_NAME%) :)
To disable the automatic reply at any time, open the IM Response window, choose IM Response Disabled from the dropdown, and click Save IM Response.
