Bot Won't Load

If your bot isn’t loading, don’t worry! This usually happens for a simple reason and can be fixed in just a few steps. Try the solutions below in order, and check if your bot loads after each one.

  1. Restart the Bot

This is the quickest fix and solves most loading issues. Restarting gives your bot a fresh connection to Second Life.

  1. Open your bot’s HUD or log in to the MoonBots website.
  2. Select Restart.
  3. Wait a minute or two for the bot to fully log back in.

  1. Change the Outfit

Sometimes a specific outfit can cause a bot to get stuck while loading. Switching to a different outfit can often load the bot in.

  1. Open your bot’s HUD.
  2. Choose a different saved outfit.
  3. Give the bot a moment to load, then switch back to the original outfit if you’d like.

  1. Rebake Textures

If your bot loads but looks blurry, gray, or is missing textures, a rebake can fix it. This forces Second Life to refresh and reload the bot’s textures.

  1. Open your bot’s HUD.
  2. Select Rebake.
  3. Give it a minute for the textures to fully refresh.

  1. Check A-Scape

If you’re using a Toddleedoo or Tweenedoo bot, this may not be a loading issue at all. A-scape is a built-in safety tool on the Toddleedoo and Tweenedoo bodies, and it’s enabled by default.

When you enter an Adult-rated region, A-scape will:

  1. Hide your bot below the ground
  2. Alert you via the dialog menu and local chat
  3. Offer options to Hide, Leave, or Change Outfit

If your bot seems like it isn’t loading but you’re on an Adult region, check for this setting.
